Prices at the table baseline for term life (1.002), better on CI (0.953)
Canada Life (Great-West Lifeco) is one of the largest Canadian life insurers. Our table has it at the term-life baseline (1.002) but noticeably better on critical illness (0.953), so it is worth checking specifically when you are comparing CI cover rather than term.
The rate engine computes a baseline premium (age, sex, smoking, coverage and term) and multiplies it by the carrier factor. On the same profile, that factor is the entire price difference between carriers.
| Term-life factor | 1.002 |
| Critical-illness factor | 0.953 |
