1. What we collect

To produce an estimate we collect the minimal facts the rate engine needs: age, sex, smoking status, coverage, term, province/postal code, vehicle and property details, plus optional contact information you choose to provide.

We also collect basic analytics (pages visited, referring site, device type) to improve the service. We do not sell personal information.

2. How we use it

Your information is used to calculate estimates, generate and deliver quotes you requested, match you with a licensed advisor, and improve our products. Advisors only receive the information needed to serve your request, and carriers receive it only with your consent during application.

3. Policy AI review

When you upload a policy or proposal, your browser converts it into page images and text. These are sent to our servers and, only to perform the analysis, to our third-party AI processing service providers, which may process them outside Canada. The providers receive the document content, not your email address.

We do not store the uploaded file or its page text. Before the analysis result is saved, we remove personal identifiers such as names, addresses, dates of birth, and policy, ID, licence plate and vehicle identification numbers. The de-identified analysis is kept for 90 days and then deleted.

Your verified email is used to save your review under your email, unlock your report, and count your free reviews (two every 12 hours). Unless you untick the box, the verified email is also subscribed to our insurance newsletter; you can unsubscribe at any time, and we never re-subscribe an address that has unsubscribed. A licensed advisor receives the de-identified summary and the quote details you confirmed only if you separately ask for an advisor review.

4. Your rights

You may access, correct or request deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing [email protected]. We retain quote data only as long as needed to serve you and meet regulatory requirements.
